We’re pleased to finally get the number one recommendation from our Projects Advisory Board underway: access to the Mango Languages learning database!
Our program allows the patrons of your library access to the full language package offered by Mango, Mango Basic. Mango Basic contains 36 language learning programs including (14) ESL programs, all of which are available to
your patrons for use at home, needing only their library card for access.
The Mango project is also amazing proof of the power of working together: by purchasing into the database as a group, the GMLC saved 54% of the cost of libraries subscribing as individuals.
Interested libraries will have received an email with details on the program, and will have information coming with details about access, training, and promotional materials. valid from approximately January 15, 2010 to December 31, 2009. Your fee to the
GMLC for this program represents a 68% discount over the fee you would pay directly
to Mango as an individual library.
